| Awards for All |
This lottery-funded small grants scheme (£500-£10000) targets a wide range of community activities, preference being given to those clubs with annual income under £20000, although all clubs may apply. The annual Scottish budget is £13 million. |
|
| Big Lottery Fund |
The Big Lottery Fund deals with 50% of the total UK lottery money, about £650 million annually. It funds a wide variety of projects and programmes. As with many other funders, its focus is on community outcomes, rather than on the development of clubs and organisations, so applications have to be constructed accordingly. |

The Renfrewshire Sports Network website was built using this free website software. We had reasonable computer ability, but no previous knowledge of website development. |
|
| Help for Clubs |
This is an excellent website (developed and maintained by Sportscotland) which provides information, guidance and advice on every aspect of running and managing a sports club. It is a major resource for all clubs, and is supported by a comprehensive resource library. A monthly update email is available on request. |

Renfrewshire Leisure runs eight leisure centres on behalf of Renfrewshire Council. |
|
| SALSC |
The Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils, of which the Renfrewshire Sports Network is a member, represents over 50 Sports Councils and 10000 sports clubs throughout Scotland, to help develop sports at the grass roots level. The director of SALSC regularly attends our meetings. |

| Sports Coach UK |
Sports Coach UK is the leading national body for coaching development. From April 209, a new core of 19 coaching workshops will be phased in, most of which can be presented by local coaches who are accredited by Sports Coach UK. |
|
| sportscotland |
Lottery-funded sportscotland provides 50% (exceptionally 70%) of funding on bigger projects (say over £20000), and requires clubs to raise 10%. From an annual budget of over £20 million, £2 million will fund community sports (80% of the budget is for facilities and performance development). Up to £1 million per year will fund coaching development, with over £1 million available for sports infrastructure projects. |
|
| Sportsmatch |
This scheme is funded by the Scottish Government and administered by Sportscotland. The funding (£500-£10000) is given on a £ for £ basis to match the sponsorship provided to clubs by businesses. |
